Prik Nam Pla Thai Cuisine: Authentic Thai Delights in San Marcos

The food is SO delicious and the restaurant is quaint and homey. The restaurant is located in conjunction with a mini mart of Asian groceries. You order at the counter and then sit to eat. All the dishes I ordered were delightful, flavorful and fresh. I got the cucumber salad, fresh spring rolls, and chicken pad Thai. I will definitely be back. Thank you.

Every meal I have ever tried here was fresh and delicious! Prik Nam Pla is also a fantastic place to buy greatly priced groceries, and their produce is always fresh. The owners are always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about what food they are serving and the groceries that they are selling. It is a San Marcos and personal household staple buisness for me. I will always come here first before anywhere else in town!

Some of the most delicious food in town. I've never had anything I didn't like here. I tried for the first time the roti banana sticky rice and it was INCREDIBLE.

Authentic fresh taste. Small sitting area and you need to order and pay at the counter before sitting. Still worth it for experiencing real Thai food. I wish they had som tam (papaya salad) .

I've been here many times over the years. I think this is, by far, the best Thai food in San Marcos. The food is always fresh and flavorful. On my most recent visit I got the yellow curry with veggies to go. The veggies were nice and fresh. What a great healthy meal!

Never went for the resteraunt but the grocery section is great. They carry almost everything you could need to make asian food from scratch at great prices while providing fresh produce as well. Never really buy the novelty ramen or snacks but theyre there! While I love m.t. mart in austin this beats driving though austin any day!

Wow!! I have been on a mission to find great Asian food in Texas for the last fifteen years. I finally found it while rushing to get some food during a break in jury duty! I tried to find something "different" to avoid the lunch rush. What better than the side cafe in a Thai market? As hoped, it more than met the expectations. You turn left in the market and order from the cashier. There's some paper menus. Then you go to the other side and find a seat. Shortly afterwards this older gentleman will deliver the most amazing Thai meal you can imagine. Oh man, it almost makes me wish I get called up on jury duty again. I went with a classic Pad Thai lunch menu. Came with a wonderful spring role and some soup. Both were excellent. The Pad Thai was just insanely good. It's been about 20 years since I've been to Thailand so maybe my taste buds are aged, but it made me think I was back. If you ever want a great, hidden gem of Asian food - you have got to try this place out.

The best authentic Thai food my husband and I have ever had. We moved away from San Marcos years ago and have been searching for a place like it ever since and NOTHING has come remotely close to scratching that itch. The curries are our favorite, but everything on the menu is good and you can’t go wrong no matter what. The curry will change your life and be the best you ever had!!!!
